Yankirri Jukurrpa Earrings
Whether paired with pastel tones, neutral or monochromatic tones these bold geometric earrings will do all the talking! These earrings feature lightweight printed metal showcasing the artwork Yankirri Jukurrpa by Indigenous artist Margaret Nangala Gallagher.
These modern earrings depict Yankirri Jukurrpa (Emu Dreaming). The story tells of an emu and a bush turkey, represented by the large and small arrow-shaped symbols, collecting bush raisins to create ‘Kapurdu’ (fruit balls). The ‘Kapurdu’ are representative of red rocks seen in the Ngarlikirlangu area.
