A bundle of delicious fiber for darning, embroidery on knits, weaving, and other fiber art!
The bundle contains:
- Wool/polymide blend from Laine St-Pierre, an historic thread producer in France. This wool blend thread has 4 separable strands, enabling you to choose the thickness of your thread. It’s our favorite for darning socks because you can select the thickness so it’s not bulky and won’t form uncomfortable bulges pressing on your foot. The addition of the poly with the wool also adds a bit of strength.
- Fingering weight 100% Kyrgyz cashmere from June Cashmere. This 3-ply fingering weight is best used on wovens like sweaters.
- Mid-weight botanically hand-dyed wool from Living Fibers in Peru. Use to darn thick sweaters or for visible mending when you want a chunkier look and noticeable presence.
